The Job Board is where all available background actor roles are posted for a company. Each listing shows the key details you need at a glance — what show or project is casting, where and when filming takes place, pay rates, and the type of role being sought.
How Does a Job Board Help You?
- As a casting director, posting jobs off-platform requires multiple steps. This streamlined method of posting will enhance the ease, speed, and quantity of roles that can be posted and made available!
- A common critique we hear from background artists, is wanting greater transparency. While casting isn't typically able to reliably tell you when you aren't selected, they can now include a submission deadline to help artists determine how long until the submissions will be closed.
- Another common request was customizability. We want to make sure you are able to see and explore all available roles, but we have added the ability to "Save Filters as Default". This will help provide a level of customizability that you get to control, change, or expand as you want
🔷 What About Notifications? 🔷
We also would like to take a moment to state we are aware of the requests to receive notifications for when a new job opportunity is posted.
We do intend on adding this in the future. In the meantime, please enjoy the centralized Job Board with filters that you can customize with saved preferred filter settings.
Where to find the Job Board
Everyset's casting platform software, empowers multiple casting companies.
Because of this, we cannot provide a direct link to any company in particular, but please refer to the specific company you are inquiring about for their public Job Board link/URL (i.e. posted to their website, social media, etc..).
When you have that link, you can access the Job Board without being registered or logged in.
(You must be logged in to apply for a role.)
When logged in..
You can find you way back to the Job Board for the company within your app using the side menu!
Note: We made some updates there as well!
Avail Checks, Status Checks, and Booking messages can now be found in your Inbox

Using Filters
Use the Filters button at the top of the Job Board to narrow listings to roles that match your availability, union status, and demographics.
Filter Options
- Project's Region/Location - This is general city/region for the whole project. It is not filtering specific shooting locations. Casting generally does not know filming locations at this time so they most often cannot provide the amount of detail needed to use for Filters. -- You can can the assumed filming location (if known) on the individual card's role details.
- Work Dates — Filter by specific filming or work dates.
- Age Range — Show only roles within a specific age range.
- Gender — Filter by the gender the role is seeking.
- Ethnicity — Filter by ethnicity requirements for the role.
- Union — Filter by union status (e.g. SAG-AFTRA eligible roles only).
- Application Status — Toggle between Open listings and listings you've already applied to (Closed).
Saving your filters
Once you've set your preferred filters, tap Save Filters as Default to automatically apply these settings every time you open the Job Board. Tap Reset All to clear all active filters. Tap Apply to apply your current selections and close the panel.
The total number of active listings appears next to the Filters button (e.g. "4 Listings"). This count updates automatically as you apply filters.
✅ Tip: Save your union status and demographic filters as defaults so you only see roles you're actually eligible for every time you open the board.
Submitting an application
To apply for an open role, tap the Apply button in the Job Details side panel.
An application form will appear as a modal overlay. Complete each required field and tap Submit Application when you're done.
Role-specific questions & photo uploads
Depending on the role, the form may include additional questions specific to that production — for example, confirming whether you have a valid driver's license, or whether you are comfortable driving on camera. Answer all questions honestly.
Many applications also require photo uploads. Common requests include:
- A current selfie in good lighting
- A side profile photo with your hair down
Drag and drop your photos into the upload area, or click to browse your files. Accepted file types are PNG, JPG, and JPEG.
✅ Tip: Keep your measurements up to date in My Profile → Measurements so they may pre-fill automatically in future applications, saving you time.
Once all required fields are complete, tap Submit Application. The application deadline is displayed at the bottom of the form — make sure to submit before that time.
Understanding Application Statuses
